Mission Creek Groundwater Replenishment Facility

The Mission Creek Groundwater Replenishment Facility (MCGRF) has been in operation since 2002, delivering imported water to the Mission Creek Subbasin to help replenish the groundwater aquifer. DWA and CVWD exchange their State Water Project Table A allocations for a like amount of water from the Colorado River Aqueduct through an exchange agreement with Metropolitan Water District. DWA is proposing to amend the exchange agreement to facilitate continued operation and maintenance of the MCGRF, including a potential increase in quantities of water delivered to the facility. The public comment period begins October 8, 2026, and ends November 9, 2026.
