2006 Water Quality report
Every year, Desert Water Agency compiles a comprehensive water quality report, and sends copies to it's customers. It reports on clarity, organic and inorganic chemical content, bacteria, radioacivity, and secondary standards such as color, odor, and mineral content.

Landscape project on schedule for Setember finish

The Desert Water Agency's landscape project is on schedule. General Manager David Luker told the board of directors at its Tuesday meeting that the project should be completed in September as planned.
The board also reviewed the following:
- The agency has been invited to the Building Industry Association's August Public Officials Luncheon where they will be able to update the attendees on water issues.
- The board approved a contract for auditing services for the fiscal year 2007-08. The maximum cost is $17,824. The audit is done annually.
- Two engineers from the agency have passed an exam making them reistered civil engineers. The board would like to see a presentation about the two at another meeting.
- The agency is hosting a blood drive August 15 from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Operations Center, 1200 Gene Autry Trail South. The inspiration for the drive is an employee's daughter who is scheduled for heart surgery later this month.

Mission Creek Ground Water Replenishment Report
“If ground water replenishment with imported water (artificial recharge) is
excluded, annual ground water overdraft within Mission Creek Subbasin of the
Coachella Valley Ground Water Basin (Plate 1) is currently estimated to be
roughly 9,000 AF/yr to 10,000 AF/yr. Supplementing natural ground water
replenishing from rainfall runoff…”
